The Joomla project has announced the release of Joomla 4.4 and 5.0 today. You can head on to Joomla's website to read the [full release announcement](https://www.joomla.org/announcements/release-news/5900-joomla-5-0-and-joomla-4-4-are-here.html). Mosets Tree 4 is fully compatible with both Joomla versions that are released today.

A couple of important points to note on these releases:
- Joomla 4.4 contains no new feature but this is a necessary update for all existing Joomla 4 website if you wish to upgrade to Joomla 5.
- If you have an existing Joomla 4 website, be sure to upgrade to Joomla 4.4 first before upgrading to Joomla 5.
- Now here's the important point: Joomla 5 now requires **PHP 8.1.0** and **MySQL 8.0.13/MariaDB 10.4.0/PostgresQL 12.0** as their [minimum requirement](https://manual.joomla.org/docs/next/get-started/technical-requirements/). 
- Joomla 4.4 minimum requirements remains unchanged as before.

We welcome this upgrade especially Joomla 5's new technical minimum requirement as this will benefit both users and developers. 
This aligns Joomla with modern technology standards and sets the stage for enhanced performance and security.

Mosets Tree 3.10.9 - Now with OpenStreetMap Support!

**Today, we're excited to release Mosets Tree 3.10.** We have been working on a lot of under the hood improvements and features in the past few releases.

In this 3.10 release, we're focused on developing a brand **new Mosets Tree template called 'Banyan'**. The new default Mosets Tree template comes with **6 new Index styles** and **9 new listing summary styles**. There's a lot to see and explore in this release, so let's dive in!

# 6 New Index Styles

The new Banyan template comes with 6 new Index styles. Index views are typically the first thing your users will see when they first come to your directory, so we want to provide you with various styles to choose from to best showcase your directory structure.

If you have just a few categories, you can use Style 2, 3 or 6 that prominently showcase your categories with large image. If you plenty of sub-categories that you want to show in the Index view, you can use Style 4, 5 and 7.

# Search Bar & Browse By Tags in Index page

Search bar is now available by default on top of every Index page. It supports auto-complete which means they can quickly look for what they want and go to the listing directly.

New in Mosets Tree 3.10 is the ability show list of tags from one or more taggable fields in Index page. For example, if you run a movie review websites and you might be categorising your movies by genres. So with this new feature, your user can browse by genres (your categories) and by any other taggable fields you choose to show. In this example, it might be list of Directors, Actors, Year Released and so on.

# 9 New Listing Summary Styles

We have always had one single summary view style that is used across different type of directories. Banyan now comes with 9 new listing summary styles that caters for any type of listings. We are introducing 2 new template parameters called "Focus Fields" and "Main Attribute Fields", which allows you to call to attention to some of the important information about your listings.

Mosets Tree 3.10 released!

The Joomla project has announced the release of Joomla 3.8 today. It features hundreds of improvements and some new features. Check out the official [announcement](https://www.joomla.org/announcements/release-news/5713-joomla-3-8-0-release.html) post at Joomla.org to learn about this release.

 One of the biggest improvement to this release is the new routing system. This gives you more control on the URL, including the ability to remove IDs from URLs. This is great if you're setting up a new site. But if you have an existing site, it is suggested that you keep using the current routing system. New feature in Mosets Account: Auto-Renew

We are pleased to announce the latest update to Mosets Tree today, now with support for Joomla Update system.

 With this new version, you will be notified of any Mosets Tree updates whenever you access your site's back-end. Once there is a new version, updating Mosets Tree will only be 2 clicks away.

 This service is available to all users with active subscriptions using an **Access Key**.

 To get your access key, login to your [Mosets Account](<https://www.mosets.com/login/ >), click on your subscription ID and click on the button that says "**Generate Access Key**". Copy the Access Key. This is a 43 characters long alphanumeric string.

 Next, be sure you've updated your site running Mosets Tree to version 3.9.6. If you've already installed version 3.9.6, go to a new section called "**My Subscription**" in Mosets Tree's back-end. Paste the Access Key you copied above and click "**Verify**".

 If all goes well, your subscription and access key will be verified. You will see your subscription information updated on the page. That's all to it!

 Going forward, if there is a new update from Mosets Tree, you'll be notified when you login to your site's back-end.

Mosets Tree 3.9.6 - Now with Joomla Update system support!

Mosets Tree 3.8 released - Now compatible with PHP 7 and Joomla 3.5

This update features various improvements that let your users search and navigate faster. If you're an admin, we have a couple of new features that will help with your day to day management of your directory.

# Managers
 You can now assign one or more user groups as Managers. Managers are users who can create, edit or delete listings in front-end, even when they do not own the listings. This allows you to assign user groups to manage your directory. This makes it extremely convenient to change or update your listings when you see them in front-end, without going back and forth between front and back-end. Since you can override this in category configuration, you can assign different user group to manage different categories.
 
 # Search Completion
 The search module (mod\_mt\_search) now has built-in support for search completion, popularly known as Ajax Search. Search completion activates as soon as you start typing in the search box.
 
 # Next/Previous Listings
 Often times, you want to check out one listing details after another. This update brings a new feature to let you navigate between your listings details page, one after another through a Previous and Next listing link at the bottom of each listing details page.
 
 # Listing Owners
 There is now a dedicated page showing all listings owners. These are users who has one or more listings in the directory.
 
 # Random Listings
 A first in Joomla - now you have a new option to order your listings randomly. Surprise your users and let them discover more listings from your directory.
 
 # New Fieldtypes
- **Listings** fieldtype allows you to create a special type of custom fields that shows other listings from your directory. You can customise the custom field to show the listings with images and/or any of their custom fields.
- **Multiple Dates** fieldtype allows you to enter one or more dates by entering dates directly or by selecting them through a displayed calendar.
- **Telephone** fieldtype lets you create a telephone custom field with an option to show them with a tel: link.

HelloMaps, meet Mosets Tree

Thanks for the great reception on recent Mosets Tree release where we introduce ACL support and social sharing. Building on your feedback, we have released an update today with the following improvements:

- **Custom Fields Edit Access Level**: 3.6 introduced view access level, that lets you control which user group can view your custom fields. Now you can also control which user group can **edit** the field when they add or modify existing listing.
- **Top Listings Module**: You can now specify 2 or more categories, giving you more flexibility on how you can show your listings through the module.

Mosets Tree 3.6.1 update available

We're happy to announce the latest update to Mosets Tree - version 3.6.0.

 The biggest update in this release is the comprehensive support for **Joomla's Access Control List (ACL)**. Now you have fine grain control on which user groups has permission to perform tasks within your Mosets Tree directory. This includes permission on creating listings &amp; categories, rating, reviews, contact, recommend, report and claim.

 While you can control with what your users can do, what about what your user can see? Well, we have that covered too! With Joomla's **View Levels**, you can specify the view level for top level categories, listing details and even custom fields! Now you can restrict your listing details page to your special group of suppliers or allow downloads of your floor plan PDFs to a higher privileged user groups.

 **Social sharing** has been one of our top requested feature. In this update, we've added support for sharing through E-mail, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+. On top of that, we have implemented:

- **Facebook Like button**: Let your user share your listings quickly to Facebook by liking a listing.
- **Twitter Card**: When your user share your listings through Twitter, Twitter Card will show your listing's image together with your tweet.
- **On Hover Pin It button**: Show the Pin It button when your users mouse over your listing images.
 
 We have also given some love to custom fields:

- **Number** based field types such as Price, Hits, Visited, Votes, Ratings and Numbers gain additional search options that lets you search for Exact, Contains and the much requested 'From X to Y' format. You also have the option to format the number with configurable number of decimals, decimal point and thousand separator.
- **Tags** field type now has a new search option to show as drop down box. Perfect when you want to list all available options but don't want to clutter your search page.
- **Category** field type now shows secondary categories.
- **4 New Core Fields**: Contact Person, Mobile, Date and Year are now available as core fields.
