The Joomla project has announced the release of Joomla 4.4 and 5.0 today. You can head on to Joomla's website to read the full release announcement. Mosets Tree 4 is fully compatible with both Joomla versions that are released today.

A couple of important points to note on these releases:

• Joomla 4.4 contains no new feature but this is a necessary update for all existing Joomla 4 website if you wish to upgrade to Joomla 5.
• If you have an existing Joomla 4 website, be sure to upgrade to Joomla 4.4 first before upgrading to Joomla 5.
• Now here's the important point: Joomla 5 now requires PHP 8.1.0 and MySQL 8.0.13/MariaDB 10.4.0/PostgresQL 12.0 as their minimum requirement.
• Joomla 4.4 minimum requirements remains unchanged as before.

We welcome this upgrade especially Joomla 5's new technical minimum requirement as this will benefit both users and developers. This aligns Joomla with modern technology standards and sets the stage for enhanced performance and security.
